The fog muted sounds too, making her hearing thick and muffled. She knew she was in no danger here, not with Strelka nearby, but she didn't like being blind, even if only temporarily. Being able to see most things in the dark this was somewhat alarming to her, and this passing external blindness caused panic to rise in her chest. Soon Serana was enveloped in the cool fog, so dense she couldn't see her hand in front of her face.
It reached the lakeshore and pressed up the hillside towards the Manor, swallowing trees and the road before it. A thick fog was drifting in from the west, covering everything in its path. Falkreath Hold was rather known for its changeable weather, and today was no exception. She really did like these nights with just her and Strelka, no bandits or bears to fight, just the two of them sharing nice moments together.Īs Strelka disappeared she turned to gaze out over the valley, across the lake, watching the peaceful drifting of the mist near the water, and up in the mountain peaks. Serana watched her go, a fond smile on her face, head tilted to the side slightly. "Hold that thought, I'll be right back." Strelka turned quickly and climbed down the ladder into the Manor. She took Serana's hand, giving it an affectionate squeeze. "Yes," Strelka said, smiling and leaning in to kiss her. Neither woman was looking at the lake, having eyes only for each other.
"It's so beautiful up here, just the two of us, and the view," whispered Serana to her companion.
A passing traveler might glance up and see them, but usually their only audience were the hawks, circling lazily between the Manor and the lake, and those would rather find their next meal than spy on the women in their little rendezvous. Strelka and Serana were enjoying each other's company and the very public privacy of the balcony on top of the library at Lakeview Manor. Small puffs of mist drifted across Lake Ilinalta in the dark moonsless night.
